I completed the editing for twelve episodes of the Urban Limitrophe podcast for MET Radio’s Urbanist Radio Hour, with a few main objectives:

  1. Improve audio quality with regard to loudness and dynamics, and
  2. Edit content to meet the 58 minute timeslot for MET Radio
  3. Insert MET Radio intro and outtro clips

I used noise reduction and both manual and automatic riding of volume levels. This was especially challenging when speakers had vastly different volumes, and discrete recordings of each speaker were not available.

Some episodes ran longer than 58 minutes, making them too long to fit the slots for MET Radio. For these episodes, I took a careful listen though the content to remove redundant information, awkward pauses, and excessive ums.

It was an interesting challenge, both technically and narratively, to complete these twelve episodes of this fascinating podcast.
